Greenways SCE is a Social Cooperative Enterprise (SCE), registered to Social Economy General Register of the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Welfare, established in 2012 with the aim to serve local and collective interests and to promote employment, social cohesion and local or regional development.
Greenways is a member of International Sports and Culture Association (ISCA), and member of European Cycle Logistics Federation (ECLF), partner of European Hate Speech Movement campaign and founder of Hate Fighters Network in Greece.
Greenways SCE aim is to create sustainable green jobs through: 1. Promoting and communicating sustainable mobility, physical activity and accessibility 2. Planning and certifying cycle routes and greenways, 3. Organizing events, campaigns, projects, 4. Lifelong learning, training, 5. Auditing bike-friendly services and sustainable mobility and cycling policies, 6. Cycling tour operator, 7. Bike rental and repair services.

5. National Coordinator for NowWeMove
campaign in Greece since 2014 with International Sport and Culture Association
(ISCA). Coordination of NowWeMove events in Greece with other stakeholders, partners,
coordination and support of local MOVE Agents, implementation of specific
activities, communication and PR management of the national page of MOVE Week
website, fundraising, Since 2015
NowWeMOVE Greece project with No Elevators Day, Panna Tour, Cross Border
Cycling Event, Flash MOVE and since 2016
with European Fitness Day and European School Sport Day.
6. “Learn how to cycle with safety”
educational program for physical activity for hard-to-reach populations (girls,
women, with immigrant or refugee background) under the project MOVE Quality of
International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA).
7. Participation
in organization team for training
course for project “Play for Inclusion”
project supported by Erasmus + Program, European Commission. Participants
learned how to use sport and games to work with youth and promote social
inclusion of young people coming from vulnerable groups of youth at risk and
juvenile delinquents.
8. Participation with volunteers in
training course “Gender equality-is it reality?” supported by European Youth
Foundation, Council of Europe, for gender equality, especially focusing on the
problem of gender-based violence and basic techniques for concept photo and
illustrations and how to use these methods for a social change in the field of
gender equality.
9. Participation with volunteers in
training course “Animate the change” supported by European Youth Foundation,
Council of Europe, for competences and skills to promote inter-cultural
dialogue and tolerance among young people of different ethnic background, with
special focus on inclusion of youth coming from socially excluded groups using
interactive methods: stop animation and music.
10. Member of Municipality of
Thessaloniki delegation to project METROS: Strengthening Entrepreneurial
Ecosystems in Southern European METRO Regions under the Urban and Regional
Policy Program (URP) of The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF).
The METROS network included also the cities of Bilbao (Spain), Genova (Italy)
and Torino (Italy).
